Jannik Sinner no jugará durante los tres próximos meses. El italiano ha alcanzado un acuerdo con la Agencia Mundial Antidopaje y ha acordado una suspensión de tres meses debido a «errores en su equipo» a raíz del positivo por dopaje que dio el pasado marzo por clostebol.El italiano asume de esta manera la implicación y su parte de responsabilidad en los errores cometidos por su equipo.El pasado marzo, Sinner ido positivo en dos ocasiones por clostebolWADA’s investigation concluded that Sinner had no intent and did not derive anycompetitive advantage from the two positive tests for minimal traces of closteboldetected in his system.“This case had been hanging over me now for nearly a year and the process stillhad a long time to run with a decision maybe only at the end of the year,” Sinnersaid. “I have always accepted that I am responsible for my team and realiseWADA’s strict rules are an important protection for the sport I love. On that basisI have accepted WADA’s offer to resolve these proceedings on the basis of a 3-month sanction.”Sinner’s lawyer, Jamie Singer of Onside Law, commented: “I am delighted thatJannik can finally put this harrowing experience behind him. WADA hasconfirmed the facts determined by the Independent Tribunal. It is clear thatJannik had no intent, no knowledge, and gained no competitive advantage.Regrettably, errors made by members of his team led to this situation.”
